Donald A. Erickson is the President and Managing Partner of Erickson Partners, LLC a business valuation and advisory firm based in Dallas, Texas. Prior to founding Erickson Partners, Mr. Erickson was a former Senior Partner with Ernst & Young LLP's Corporate Finance Practice. He has managed over 1,500 valuation engagements since his entry into the valuation profession in 1972. These engagements have been conducted for the purposes of litigation, merger and acquisition, financing, allocation of purchase price, estate and gift taxes, employee stock ownership trusts, and business planning. EXPERIENCE: Mr. Erickson has been responsible for valuations in a diverse range of industries on both a national and international level. He has valued both enterprise and minority stock valuations. He has extensive experience in valuing patents, trade secrets, computer software, customer lists, trademarks and other intangible assets. Mr. Erickson also has extensive experience in valuing real estate entities including holding companies with various asset profiles, partnerships and management companies. AFFILIATIONS: Mr. Erickson is a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), certified in the discipline of Business Valuation EDUCATION: Mr. Erickson received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Santa Clara and his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Oregon. He has taken additional courses in investment analysis from the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and real estate appraisal courses from UCLA Extension.
Bryce Erickson is Vice President and a Member of Erickson Partners, LLC. He has been involved with numerous valuation engagements since his entry into the valuation profession in 1998. These engagements have been conducted for the purposes of financial reporting, estate and gift taxes, allocation of purchase price, litigation support, financing, and business planning. EXPERIENCE: Mr. Erickson has managed and been involved in valuations and litigation support work in a diverse range of industries on both a national and international level. He has valued both enterprise and minority stock valuations. In addition, he has experience in valuing patents, customer lists, trademarks and other intangible assets as well as performing lost profits analysis and economic damage scenarios. Mr. Erickson came to Erickson Partners from Prudential Capital Group, a leading provider of private capital with a $34 billion portfolio, in their Dallas office. During his tenure he was an integral member of deal teams that underwrote, structured and closed over a dozen transactions totaling more than $550 million in committed capital including senior debt, subordinated debt, mezzanine and equity. He also monitored, reviewed and annually performed credit analysis of a $3 billion portfolio. Before his term at the Prudential Capital Group, he worked at KPMG LLP in their Global Financial Strategies practice in Dallas, Texas. ACCREDITATION: Mr. Erickson holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation from the American Society of Appraisers in Business Valuation. He is also currently a candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program. EDUCATION: Mr. Erickson received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University in Economics.
Joe Bowles is an associate with Erickson Partners, LLC. Since entering the valuation profession in 1970, Mr. Bowles has been responsible for over 2,500 valuations of securities and assets of both public and private companies, domestically and internationally. EXPERIENCE: Mr. Bowles was a partner and regional director of valuation services for Ernst & Young LLP (or its predecessor firm, Arthur Young), and a senior vice president of Underwood, Neuhaus & Company, a regional investment banking firm. He has been a featured speaker on business valuation at Business Valuation Conferences sponsored by the ASA, and for legal and accounting education conferences. He has testified in support of his opinions in Federal, Civil, Tax and Bankruptcy Courts, State Courts in Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, Michigan, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. EDUCATION: Mr. Bowles holds a Master of Science with concentrations in Measurement Theory and Statistics from Illinois State University, and is a former member of the Business Valuation Advisory Committee of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).
Grant Farrell is an Associate with Erickson Partners. He has been involved in various valuation engagements and capacities for the purposes of corporate strategy, restructuring and reorganization, litigation, and regulatory compliance. Mr. Farrell is responsible for multiple facets of the valuation process including financial and industry analysis, due diligence, and management support required for both valuation and consulting engagements. EXPERIENCE: Prior to his employment with Erickson Partners, LLC, Mr. Farrell worked at KPMG performing audit & assurance services for both private and publicly traded companies within the financial services industry. He also more recently worked within the Transaction Services group where he performed merger & acquisition due diligence analysis for both national and international companies involved in large and sophisticated transactions. EDUCATION: Mr. Farrell holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Southern Methodist University and has completed graduate studies in accounting at the University of Texas at Dallas. |
